Jada Montemarano

Jada Montemarano is a food/travel host, news reporter, and content creator living in Los Angeles, CA. Most recently, she was a reporter and food host for Spectrum News 1 in Los Angeles, California. As a multimedia creator, Jada researches, reports, shoots, and edits her own stories. Jada has proven that she can handle herself both behind the camera and in front.

Jada’s passion lies in food storytelling where she can connect with different communities and cultures through their cuisine. She helped create a weekly segment for Spectrum News 1 called “Running on Empty” where she traveled to restaurants around Southern California to share the stories behind the food. Jada produced and hosted two 30-minute “Running on Empty” specials, as well as “The BBQ Boom: SoCal Style” and “Farm to Fork: Protecting our Planet.” She also hosts restaurant segments for lifestyle show “The SoCal Scene.”

While connecting to the audience through television, Jada also knows how important it is to connect through social media. Jada posts informative, engaging, and fun food and travel content on Instagram and TikTok gaining hundreds of thousands of views. She shares the best places to eat, travel itineraries, and more.

Along with her food reporting and hosting, Jada was also a general assignment reporter covering breaking news like the devastating Borderline Mass Shooting, the Woolsey Fire, Black Lives Matter demonstrations, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the 2020 election. Jada reported live from the field, covered news updates in studio, and was a fill-in anchor.

Previously, Jada was the Live Center anchor, reporter, and fill-in anchor for 23ABC News KERO in Bakersfield, California. As the Live Center anchor, Jada covered breaking and trending news using social media. Management relied on Jada to tell pop culture topics in a compelling way for a news audience, as well as going in-depth on personal stories. During her first month at the station, she also helped create the first and only food series in the market, "At The Table," where she traveled to different restaurants from popular spots to hidden gems.

Jada also has worked as a red carpet reporter in Los Angeles. During freelance opportunities, she interviewed Rashida Jones, Aaron Paul, Nick Carter, Joey Fatone, Kendra Wilkinson, and many more.
